The Jews of Fresno: Things that Brought Us, Things that Bind Us is an exhibit installed at the Fresno County Historical Museum. It features historical, contemporary, and enduring facets of the Jewish people from California’s Central Valley with an immersive installation.

The concept for the installation’s design is a six-pointed Jewish star which connects the theme while providing maximum surface area to present information within the 6 ft. diameter. The panels, screens, and display cases are arranged to immerse visitors in the experience of walking through an open book. There are two touchscreen monitors for in-depth topics and the capacity to update.

The two main themes are stylized with typographical and symbolic elements. Things that Brought Us contains a Jewish star with remote points, typography with thin weight, and texture of the land. Things that Bind Us contains a Jewish star with adjacent points, typography with bold weight, and a texture of the traditional fibers.
